Sarah De Lewandowics attained a Bachelors degree in Optometry from Anglia Ruskin University and then went on to qualify in Therapeutic Prescribing from the University of Cardiff. She has since been practicing for 10 years in both England and Wales, being fluent in both English and Welsh.
Sarah was encouraged to join Optical Express after seeing the increase in NHS waiting times, deciding to pursue a more clinical role and specialise further in her career. She hopes to one day attend to and manage Glaucoma patients and provide much needed added capacity for Welsh patients. Sarah believes in lifelong learning and development and feels that these are valued at Optical Express, and she feels that the company has an ethos of supporting clinicians in development and specialisation.
On a daily basis, Sarah completes routine eye examinations and performs pre and post operative consultations for refractive and cataract surgery, providing clinical support to the ophthalmologists. She enjoys working for a company that prizes clinical excellence and attracts highly skilled clinicians.
Sarah also finds it rewarding to meet with patients again after surgery and knowing that she’s contributing towards a difference in people’s lives.
